Workwear – girly chic

Workwear is always a tricky one; figuring out a new outfit five days a week that is in line with your day job is tough! Sometimes I fall into the easy, predictable and boring wardrobe pieces.

This outfit is one that I really enjoy wearing for work – even though I realised I am not a huge skirt fan, unless it’s a maxi skirt I really struggle to get excited about them.

But this one is great for work because of the length (not too short for wearing without tights but still great with), the colour (black, perfect staple piece) and the pockets (practicle!). This beauty I picked up from H&M a couple of years back, as are the jumper and boots.

Shirt – Primark
Bag – Zara
Necklace – Dorothy Perkins
Bracelet – Vintage
Watch – Next
Rings – H&M

Getting your work wardrobe doesn’t need to be tough or expensive. Go back over your existing pieces and try different combinations to create completely new looks without splashing the cash. Don’t forget accessories are the perfect way to spruce up any look too – scarves, jewellery, bags, shoes; they all work.
